SRINAGAR, June 5: It looks like that PDP-BJP dispensation, which is three months old now, exercises no control on its employees. It appears that if the higher ups in the government are confined to their rooms without having any knowledge as to what is happening around.
Early Times has learnt through sources that mass irregularities have surfaced in the Government Higher Secondary School Parihaspora in the Pattan area of North Kashmir's Baramulla district where clerk has secretly transferred the salary of female teachers into the account of his relative.
According to the sources, the salary for the month of April wasn't credited to the accounts of the nine female teachers even when the month of May has expired. These female teachers got apprehensive and lodged a written complaint in the Pattan treasury, said the sources.
According to the sources, the female teachers were shocked to hear the reply of the treasury officer that their salary for the month of April had already been disbursed.
When the matter was brought to the notice of the headmistress of the school, nothing happened at first. But when the deceived female teachers decided to give air to their concerns, it came to fore that it was a nexus between the headmistress and the clerk, said the sources.
Sources said that when the female teachers followed the case, it was known that the clerk had deposited the cheque of Rs. 1, 90,000 into the account of his relative under the account number SB-8369 in the Singhpora branch of the Jammu & Kashmir Bank.
Sources revealed that when the matter was brought in the notice of the Headmistress of the school, said that the clerk had compelled him to do so as he pretended to be very desperate for the money, promising that he will return this money in a couple of days.
The female teachers, as per the sources, have termed the act of the Headmistress as totally irresponsible in nature which led them to huge inconveniences.
As per the sources, the female teachers of the school brought the issue in the notice of the CEO Baramulla, who as per the sources has said that he has no knowledge about it, but, at the same time has assured that the matter will be looked into.
Sources further revealed that the female teachers of the Parihaspora HSS not satisfied with the departmental enquiry have lodged a written complaint in the police station Pattan for the immediate enquiry into the matter.
