VREA holds protest, criticizes Govt uncleared dues | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, June 5: Volunteer Retired Employees Association held protest demonstration and criticized the attitude of the Transport Higher authorities and Finance Department of the J&K Govt, as they failed to clear legitimate dues. A demonstration and Dharna was conducted at opposite press club exhibition ground Jammu under the leadership of Dev Raj Bali President of VRS Union. They said it appeared that they are both in connivance with each other and playing foul games with the VRS employees of the J&K SRTC whereas we were promised that one who takes the VRS his dues will be cleared within 60 days. "We have been struggling and giving demonstration and dharnas and have been harassed by the authorities and they did not care at all. Our pending dues cost of living allowance (COLA) 16 slabs 1.1.2006, 18 slabs of 2007, 26 slabs of 2008, 35 slabs of 2009 and 31 slabs upto April, 2010 and pending arrears since 1999, 6th Pay Commission 1st Jan.2006 and pending arrears that means total 126 slabs of COLA. They appealed to the Chief Minister J&K Govt, to intervene into matter. |
