| SAD Amritsar takes cognizance of ugly incident | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, June 5: The executive body of Shiromani Akali Dal (Amritsar) in its emergency meeting held at Jammu today under the chairmanship of Sardar JS Mangal to take cognizance of the ugly incident leading to the death of a Sikh youth.
Addressing the meeting, JS Mangal said, It is not for the first time that peaceful protest are held against in the infamous Operation Blue Star hatched by the then Prime Minister Indira Gandhi, the tyrant leading to the destruction of Sri Akaal Takhat Sahib, the highest temporal seat for the entire Sikh Nation plus, mg$care of over Eighteen Thousand Sikh commnity of sex and age.
"Reverend Sant Jarnail Singh Bhindranwale, head of the Damdami Taksaal was also martyred along with his associates Indira Gandhi in the words of a renowned journalist had avenged for the brave role of the Sikhs against the imposition of infamous emergency", he said.
Shadeedi Functions are held by the Sikh Sangat at Simble Camp and elsewere on June 6 every year where large posters of Sant Bhindranwale are also depicted, in which meaningful Sikh Stalwarts also participated.
He further said thatThere was nothing special on June, 4 which provoked the trigger happy police under the guidance of a communal police officer to resort to point blank firing and killing of the Sikh Youth and injuring many others.
The organization demanded the government would lodge a FIR against the culprit and arrest immediately. |
