Jammu: The authorities also ordered the suspension of Internet services to check the spread of rumours in Jammu. The services, which were suspended late Thursday night, had not been restored till late tonight. While BSNL internet services were restored this evening, the services of other companies had not been restored, causing problems for local newspapers also.
Educational institutions in the five districts of Jammu, Samba, Kathua, Rajouri and Poonch also remained closed on Friday.
Jammu District Magistrate Simranjeet Singh Friday ordered service providers to suspend Internet in Jammu district, both on landline and mobile networks. |
