| Animal Husbandry Deptt holds diagnosis camp | | | Early Times Report
Ramban, June 5: Animal Husbandry Department Ramban organised a special pregnancy and infertility diagnosis camp with modern Portable Ultrasound Machine at various spots around Serri Panchayat of Ramban viz. Chamba, Kundi and Thallibass.
About 20 cows were examined in detail for confirming even just 01 month old pregnancy; uterine infections, ovarian cysts, reasons behind repeat breeding etc. and a treatment regime finalized for a particular cow.
Emphasizing the role of proper nutrition for a smooth "calf a year" return, Dr. Bhargava, National Technical Manager, Intervet India Pvt. Ltd., himself an Animal Ultrasound Specialist advised the farmers to provide atleast 4 kg of concentrate feed to female cows upto 10 kg of milk producing cow. The importance of Mineral Mixture and Salt should never be undermined.
He further said that there is a strong need to improve and modernize the standard of Veterinary facilities to compete with the growing demands in respect of Animal Health, productivity and returns to the ever hardworking dairy farmers especially in tough hilly areas of the State" - including Ramban Dr. Ramesh Razdan CAHO (AHD) Ramban stressed the farmers to avail full benefits of various schemes of the Department. He reminded the dairy farmers of Ramban about the future potential demand of Milk in district. |
