| Two persons including farmer commit suicide | | |

JAMMU, July 19: Two persons allegedly committed suicide in separate incidents at different places of Jammu.
Police sources said that a labourer committed suicide in Kunjwani area.
The deceased has been identified as Makhan (35) son of Charna of Chak Majra RS Pura presently Kunjwani.
Police sources said that he consumed some poisonous substance and fell unconscious at around 1:00 am.
Police sources further said preliminary it came to light that wife of the deceased informed the police in this regard and after getting the information police immediately reached the spot and shifted him to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMC&H) where he was declared as brought dead. Today in the morning, the body after legal formalities was handed over to his family members. Police sources added that the deceased was a labourer and had married a Bihar based girl following which he was disinherited from ancestral property and was frustrated.
Meanwhile, a 40 year-old farmer who consumed some poisonous stuff few days ago and was under treatment at GMC&H succumbed today.
The deceased has been identified as Vijay Kumar son of Baldev Raj of Patnyal Akalpur.
Police sources said that Vijay fell unconscious on July 14 after he consumed some poisonous substance. Today during the treatment at GMC&H he failed to respond the treatment.
Police said that both the cases have been registered at concerned police stations to ascertain exact reasons behind such extreme steps. |
