7 sent to 4-day police remand for raising anti-national slogans | | | Asif Iqbal Naik Early Times Report
Kishtwar July 19: Police today produced the seven persons, who were arrested for raising anti-national and pro-Pakistan slogans after Eid prayers at Kishtwar on Saturday last before Judicial Magistrate first class (Tehsildar, Kishtwar) who remanded them to four days police custody. They were produced in the court under tight security by a police team led by SHO Police Station Kishtwar Sameer Jeelani. The accused included 45 year old Abdul Gani son of Ghulam Ali Bhat resident of Pathgham Marwah at present near Shiv Mandir Kishtwar working as teachers in education department, Imran Butt son of Mohammad Amin Butt resident of Nagni Hidyal Kishtwar, Bilal Ahmed Butt son of Abdul Rashid Butt resident of Saroori Mohallah Kishtwar, Sajid Hussain son of Ghulam Hussain Sheikh resident of Marwah, Raj Mohammad son of Mohammad Yaqoob resident of Phugumar Hasti Kishtwar, Mudasir Ahmed son of Javed Ahmed Ganie resident of Trigam Kishtwar and Aqib Rasool son of Ghulam Haider resident of Teller Marwah, all in the age group of 21 to 24 years. While going through the Case Dairy, Tehsildar Kishtwar granted four days remand of all the accused with the direction to conduct regular medical check up of all the accused. Meanwhile Kishtwar police launched a massive hunt to trace out the other accused involved in anti-national sloganeering, added that more people involved in the case have been identified. "We have buyed peace in Kishtwar after hectic efforts--- we will not comprise with peace and tranquility of Kishtwar--- All those person involved in contaminating peaceful atmosphere of Kishtwar will not be sphere at any cost and be dealt strictly in accordance to law" said a senior police officer, added that after preparing the list of the accused person, Kishtwar police will share the details with all police station of the state so that the people involved in anti-national activities on Eid day could be brought to justice. He said that police is keep an eye on all the people having an adverse record in past. In another development, Kishtwar police claim to have arrest an accused involved in the August 9, 2013 Kishtwar communal riots and who was evading arrest since then after Kishtwar court issued warrant against him U/S 512 Cr PC. Police identified him as Anju Kumar resident of Wasser Kishtwar. |
