| Three drown in Kashmir, Ladakh | | | Srinagar, July 19 : Three people, including a minor girl, drowned in Kashmir valley and Ladakh region, official sources said here today.
They said a 50-year-old man was killed in a cloudburst incident at Turtuk in Ladakh region.Seven-year-old girl Asmat slipped and fell into Wular Lake in Bandipora district of north Kashmir.The body of the deceased was fished out and handed over to her relatives for last rites.
The official sources said heavy rain and cloudburst resulted in sudden increase in the water-level in Khanchee Yusmarg in Badgam district.A 15-year-old Mukhtar Ahmad Gursi was swept away in the flash flood, they said, adding his body was recovered at a distance and handed over to his relatives. |
