PCC shows door to Charak, Aziz, Vakil | Suspended from primary membership of the party for anti-party activities | | Early Times Report
jAMMU, July 19: Having served the Congress party in different capacities three senior party leaders including Gulchain Singh Charak, Prem Sagar 'Aziz' and Abdul Gani Vakil have been shown the exit doors by the central disciplinary committee of the congress party. A formal order of suspending these three party leaders from the primary membership of the party have been signed by the chairman of the Central Disciplinary committee AK Antony. According to reliable sources, the same was served to these leaders before showing them the exit door. The decision on their fate was hanging in air for a long time as the state disciplinary committee had already taken note of their anti-party activities and apprised the central committee about the same. These three leaders enjoy the proximity of leader of the opposition in Rajya Sabha Ghulam Nabi Azad and were not happy with the elevation of GA Mir to the post of Pradesh Congress Committee chief. The congress leaders were earlier served show cause notices as well but instead of responding to these notices they ignored the same and kept mum. Before showing the exit door to these senior party leaders the central disciplinary committee is learnt to have taken the nod of party Vice President Rahul Gandhi. |
