| PM's visit turns hoax: YSAC | | | Early Times Report
jAMMU, July 19: Disappointed over non-announcement any package for PoK Refugees by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Youth Sharnarthi Action Committee termed PM's much hyped visit as hoax. According to press release, a meeting of JK Youth Sharnarthi Action Committee held under the leadership of its president RC Sharma. Speaking on the occasion Sharma expressed his dismay over the recent visit of Prime Minister as PoK refugees were expecting much from his visit but it turned hoax and a political drama instead.
While addressing the meeting Sharma said that the recent visit of Modi was a political stunt and far from the real ground position of the state particularly of PoK refugees.
He said that no section of society in the J&K state was satisfied besides people were left in quandary. "I fail to understand that Prime Minister of a largest democracy in the world visits a state on the expensive of government exchequer that too without any purpose, whereas the state has multiple problems and PM does not bother to make a mention in his speech," he added. He further said that BJP state office bearers, including coalition ministers were taken aback when there was no mention related to PoK refugees package especially and other packages in general for whom there was lot of expectations and rumours.
Expressing wonder over the reason to visit the state, he said that Modi incurred the huge amount of state exchequer to visit the state only to attend commemoration of birth centenary celebration of state Congress leader, which is beyond understanding.
He said that this visit was aimed to appease his cabinet colleague Arun Jaitley, who happens to be son-in-law of Girdhari Lal Dogra and put the public in trouble for his security reasons. He further said that Modi has once again dodged the PoK refugees and deliberately ignored the pains and plights of the suffering PoK refugees, who are looking towards Modi for his promises made by him during his election rallies including parliamentary and assembly elections. He said that Modi has deliberately betrayed the PoK refugees over the grant of package in their favour. He said, "It seems that Modi is great fibber, who says something and behaves otherwise."
Launching scathing attack on Dr Jatinder Singh, MOS in PMO, Sharma said that he (Dr Jitendra Singh) too betrayed the PoK refugees and playing a dubious game with the suffering community, resulting in damaging the refugee cause.
He urged Dr Jitendra Singh to shun negative politics and play a positive role and get the package approved without further loss of time. he said that such of his posture shall reflect in his future political carrier as presently resentment among the PoK refugees is brewing against him, which can explode anytime. who addressed the meeting included S Iqbal Singh Iqbal, Tilak Raj Sharma, Baldev Singh, Monika Sharma, Ashok Kumar, ML Sharma and Jasvinder Kour. |
