Two bovine smugglers held, 11 animals rescued | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, July 24: Continuing its drive against bovine smuggling, the Nagrota police today arrested two bovine smugglers and rescued eleven bovine from the clutches of smugglers which were being smuggled under inhumane conditions. "The accused have been identified namely as Amir Ahmed Mir (driver of the truck) of Banihal and shakeel Ahmed Chechi of Qazikund Anantnaag, police said. "On specific information, police spokesman said, "police party led by In-charge police post Sidhra SI Noor Ahmed alongwith SHO Nagrota Daleep Singh under the supervision of SDPO Nagrota Bharat Bhushan Sharma and in-charge SSP Jammu Rajeev Pandey raised a naka at TCP Nagrota and intercepted a truck bearing registration number JK13C-1532 on way to valley. "During search truck was found loaded with 11 bovine (ox) without permission", said a police spokesperson further adding, " the accused were arrested on the spot." A case under FIR 151/15 u/s 188 of RPC and 3/ 5 PCA ACT stands registered against the accuse at Police Station Nagrota and further investigations are on . |
