In the written complaint, available with Early Times, Chief Judicial Magistrate Anantnag Abdul Nissar alleged that Sub-Inspector Gowher Malla along with his body guards rebuked misbehaved and tortured him. "I was returning from Mattan along with my daughter and PSO on 23.7.2015. Sub-Inspector Gowher Malla along with body guards intercepted my vehicle at Sarnal near forest Check Post. "Register an FIR against the police officials/accused who have misbehaved with me and initiate necessary disciplinary action against them," CJM directed SSP Anantnag in the written complaint. CJM also sought compliance report from SSP Anantnag within 24 hours. "In case of failure to take necessary action against the accused not only the contempt proceedings shall be initiated but the matter will also be taken with the Hon'ble High Court," reads the letter. Anantnag Bar Association also condemned the high-handedness of Police officer and decided to go on strike if police failed to register FIR against the erring cops and officer. "Association highly deplores the ill treatment meted out to CJM at the hands of SOG cops and demands the suspension and lodging of an FIR against sub inspector Gowher Malla and his associates," Advocate Fyaz Ahamad sodager, Bar President Anantnag said in a hurriedly called press conference here. Meanwhile, SSP Anantnag Abdul Jabbar on being contacted told Early Times that officer mentioned by the CJM in the complaint along with a cop has been placed under suspension and further action against them is being initiated.
