Udhampur admn issues weather advisory for Amarnath yatris 7/24/2015 11:52:57 PM Early Times Report Udhampur, July 24: In wake of weather predictions by the meteorology department, Udhampur administration has issued weather advisory for general public of Udhampur district as well as for the Amarnath Yatris today. District Administration has advised the people not to venture in Landslide, avalanche- prone areas and not to go near rivers ,nallahs during the period to avoid any untoward incident due to coming up of heavy rain in some parts of the district on July 25 and July 26 as per meteorology department . People are also advised to take all necessary precautions and avoid unnecessary travelling during this period. All the concerned departments related to Disaster Management were directed to remain alert during the period. He has also issued directions to all the officers to activate their men and machinery and to ensure that there is no disruption of Shri Amarnathji Yatra ,essential services, power supply, water supply, health care services etc and to take necessary steps to ensure that adequate stock is kept in place besides directions were conveyed to all the quarters to take requisite precautionary steps for avoiding any untoward incident.   Share This News with Your Friends on Social Network     Comment on this Story
