ACD holds meeting with Panches, Sarpanches 7/24/2015 11:54:21 PM Early Times Report Kishtwar, July 24: Assistant Commissioner Development (ACD) Akthar Hussain Qazitoday held a meeting with Panch and Sarpanches of various blocks of Kishtwar District at New Panchayati Complex Kishtwar with the aim to guide these Panchayat Raj Institution representatives about the various schemes run by the Rural Development Department in Kishtwar District. During the course of the meeting the Sarpanches and Panches highlighted various issues including non payment of MGNREGA payments, carriage charges of material, delay in holding 2nd tier election under Panchayat Raj Act. They also raise the issue of distribution of IAY also rued the cooperation of various departments coming under PRI, added that other than parent department i.e RDD, no other department held meeting with Sarpanches and urged upon ACD Kishtwar to brought the matter into the notice of RDD Minister during his upcoming visit to Kishtwar on August 2, 2015. The Sarpanches and Panches also objected the move of state government wherein it has been decided that the Panchayat plan will be papered at par 50% by PRI's, 30% by DC and 20% by BDOs and termed it and anti people as it can invite political interference and demanded that the plan should be papered through Ghram Sabhas.
