Gurjar Desh Charitable Trust expels Trustee, who illegally exfiltrated to Pakistan in 1966 | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, July 24: Gurjar Desh Charitable Trust (GDCT) has expelled a member from the primary membership of Trust, who had exfiltrated to Pakistan in year 1966 and returned in 1977. According to letter with reference no GDCT/329-86/15, issued by GDCT, Sajjad Majid Chechi son of Ch. Abdul Majid Chechi resident of village Chack Mohammad Yaar RS Pura, was expelled from Trust membership, after his conviction was proved in a criminal case. The office bearers of GDCT informed Early Times that any person, who was convicted in any criminal case, could not be member as per the constitution of Trust. "The membership to the Trust can only be confirmed after Criminal Investigation Department (CID's) verification, but in case of Sajjad Majid Chechi, CID had given an adverse report", a member of GDCT said. According to the CID communiqué furnished before Additional District Magistrate Jammu, according to number CID/NIC?Soc?2014/0165/754 dated, 7/6/2014, it has been maintained that during verification process adverse records against Sajjad Majeed Chachi were found. The paragraph four reads as, "Sajad Majeed Chachi son of Abdul Majeed resident of Chak Mohammad Yar RS Pura Jammu, at present H.No. 108/2 Vidhata Nagar Bithindi Jammu. In the year 1966, he along with his family members illegally ex-filtrated to Pakistan and returned back illegally into this side in the year 1977 and a case FIR no. 250/1977 u/s 2/3 EAD/14 Foreigners Act of P/S RS Pura Jammu was registered against him. The Court of JMIC RS Pura convicted him in the above said case." The GDCT office bearers further said that those members who were not in accordance with the constitution of Trust would also be expelled from the Trust shortly. |
