Jammu, Aug 7: The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) will be holding its 28th Convocation on August 8 at the IGNOU Main Campus at Maidan Garhi for students passing in December 2013 and June 2014 Term End Examinations (TEE).
As per press release, as many as 2727 candidates under Jammu region have been declared eligible to receive Degree/Diplomas in the 28th Convocation. However, only the Masters Degree, B.Ed., B.Lib and B.Sc. Nursing Awardees are being invited for the Convocation function. Prof. Hari Gautam, Former Chariman, University Grants Commission, will be the Chief Guest and deliver the convocation address and Prof. D P Singh, Former Vice Chancellor, Lucknow University will be the distinguished guest at the New Delhi Headquarters. In Jammu, Prof. Sudhir K Jain, Hon'ble Vice Chancellor, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University, Katra, will be the Chief Guest on this occasion and will distribute Degrees and Diplomas among the learners. |
