SMDC member Ghulam Rasool told Early Times that he received the notice informing him about the auction of the timber and other material on the day of auction at around3.30 pm. "I received the notice at around 3.30 pm and when I reached the premises of school, the auction was over. Surprisingly instead of dropping the notice at my residence they had dropped it in a shop," he alleged. Ghulam Rasool also accused the school authorities of bulldozing the basketball court worth lakhs and changing the site of additional block being constructed. "In the meeting which was attended by all SMDC members it was decided that additional block will be constructed along the existing building of the school but after a few days we came to know that they have changed the site and demolished the basketball court," he added. School Prinicipal, Mrs Shayista, who has been transferred now, denied to have taken any decision without taking the SMDC members into confidence. "I have documents with me which have been signed by all of them," she said The SMDC members, however, accused her of forcing them to sign documents. "A school staffer namly Irfan came to me and showed the minutes of the meeting in which I found that they have changed the decisions but after a few days I was forced to sign that. At the same time I told them that I would no more be a member of the SMDC committee," Rasool said. Shaista claimed that only one portion of basketball court had got damaged. "It was non-functional for the past many years," she added. |
