Kishtwar, Aug 7: After assuming charge last week, the Sub Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Marwah Sanjeev Goswami today visited various schools in Marwah education zone and found about 20 teachers/Masters/ReT's absent from their duties while many schools were found locked. As per reports after submitting his inspection report, the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kishtwar, vide letter No. DCK/Adm/15/1523 dated 07-08-2015 directed Chief Education Officer to initiate action against the erring teachers and submit the action taken report to his office. The CEO, Vinod Kumar Soni vide order No. CEO/K/2015/10710-15 dated 7-08-2015 ordered immediate withholding of their salary and appointed Deputy CEO Kishtwar as inquiry officer. Those who found absent from their duties include Master Ram Lal attached in the office of Director School Education Jammu, Rajinder Kumar (RRT), Rahul Parihar (RRT), Akther Hussain (RRT) both absent from their duties since last one year and Mashkoor Ahmed (RRT) all posted at Middle School Kiyar, Jyoti Parihar and Altaf Hussain both RRT posted at Primary School Chopan Mohalla Kiyar and are absent from their duties since last two months, Mohammad Irfan (RRT), Rajnish Kumar (ReT) and Ravi Kant (ReT) all posted at Middle School Gower, Jewan Lal (RRT), Tulsi Ram (ReT), Naseema Begum (ReT), Rita Devi (RRT) all posted in Middle School Ganiyan and the school found closed, Master Satinder Mohan, Ghulam Nabi (RRT), Leela Devi (Teacher), Sri Krishan (3rd Teacher), Daleep Kumar (ReT) and Sunil Kumar (ReT) all posted in Middle School Chichha and the school was found locked at the time of visit of SDM Marwah. "Zonal Education Officer Marwah is directed not to draw the salary of the above named officials till pending enquiry and also directed to produce the service book of regularized ReT/Masters/Teachers in the office of under signed to make the entry of their absenteeism" read CEO Kishtwar order. The DC said both ZEO Marwah and Warwan have been asked to shift their offices from Kishtwar and establish the same at Marwah and Warwan so that effective monitoring of the schools could be done. He said that any laxity on part of ZEO Marwah and Warwan regarding their failure in monitoring of functioning of schools in their respective areas will be taken seriously and action will be initiated against them. It is pertinent to mention that state government only recently appointed independent SDM for Marwah despite the fact that Marwah got special sub division status some seven years ago before NC-Congress government last year give Marwah full sub division status as a part of its reorganization of the state. Earlier additional charge of SDM Marwah was hold by SDM Chatroo and before him by ACD Kishtwar. |
