Reasi, Aug 7: Police today claimed to have recovered a kidnapped Arnas girl from Srinagar while manhunt has been launched to nab her abductor who managed to give slip to police party. Police spokesman said that yesterday a father of victim, a resident of village Sawlakote Tehsil Arnas lodged a written report with Police Station Arnas alleging therein that his daughter who had went to nearby forest in connection with cutting of grass on August 1 but didn't return back till evening. He further alleged that they have come to notice that one person namely Haroon Ahmed of Pogal Paristan Tehsil Banihal, District Ramban had kidnapped his daughter. Subsequently, Police registered an FIR No.56/2015 under sections 363/109 of RPC in Police Station Arnas and started investigations. "During investigation police conducted series of raids at different suspicious locations but all in vain", said a police spokesman further adding that a special team under the supervision of Zaffar Iqbal Nawaz, KPS SDPO Arnas headed by Inspector Sanjay Gupta, SHO Arnas was constituted by Sujit Kumar, SSP Reasi." Meanwhile receiving specific information about presence of girl in Srinagar, the Special team went to Srinagar and succeeded in recovering the kidnapped girl from Bhatpura near Dhalgate Hajratbal, Srinagar, police said. However the accused person managed to escape from the spot and police have launched a manhunt to nab the accused. |
