Inter school tournament of zones Hiranagar, Sallan, Marheen concludes | Govt HSS Chandwan lifts title of U-19 cricket trophy | |  Early Times Report
KATHUA, Aug 7 : Inter school tournament of zones Hiranagar, Sallan and Marheen concluded here on Friday at Sports Stadium Hiranagar with the romantic matches of cricket. The tournament was organized under the overall supervision of Sunil Kumar, District Youth Services and Sports Officer Kathua and under the convener ship of Sukesh Kumar Zonal Physical Education Officer Hiranagar. On the final day of the tournament the matches of cricket were played. 64 players of different school participated on concluding day of tournament. Organizing secretary, Sukesh Kumar said that as total 199 students of three zones participated in this tournament. He thanked the officials and all participating schools for smooth conduct of tournament. He specially thanked ZPEOs Sallan and Marheen Ram Saran and Kailash Chander for their full cooperation. Earlier, the Govt HSS Chandwan defeated Infants Jesus HSS Hiranagar by 17 runs. Despite 4 continious wickets by Divyam Sharma of Infants Jesus School, Govt HSS Chandwan collect 57 runs in 10 overs and gave the target of 58 runs. Team of Infants Jesus HSS could not achieve the target and scored only 40 runs in 10 overs by losing 8 wickets. Vishal Kumar of Govt. HSS Chandwan scored 14 runs in 20 balls and Jatin Jasrotia scored 18 runs in 12 balls. On the other hand, Aditya of Infants Jesus School earned 12 runs in 14 balls and Khushvinder scored 10 in 18 balls. Today's matches were offliciated by Kuldeep Kumar, Ashok Kumar, Rakesh Kumar Raju, Mohan Lal, Narinder Singh and Naresh Kumar. Sanjeev Sunny Sudarshan Kumar and Darshan Kumar were also present on the Occassion. |
