| Struggle for AIIMS in Jammu by the ACC is the timely and the commendable step to go against the Govt. which inspite of the written promise by Dy. C.M. Dr. Nirmal Singh and the Social Welfare Minister Bali Bhagat did not announce AIIMS for Jammu on 20th of July 2015.
ACC suspended its chain hunger strike in view of the written promise. Now the suspension of the Jammu Bandh call in view of the letter written by GoI to the State for identification of land for AIIMS. As per the news of almost all the Newspapers it is not unbecoming to trust upon the letter. But we must watch and wait what actually happens in this direction.
Most of the political parties like NC, Congress, JKNPP and BJP are trying their level best to put their faces before the public on the pretext of AIIMS. But people cannot forget the treacherous, sectarian and specific regional types of Governance of NC, Congress, PDD and now the BJP which converted its line roaring into the voice of a Jackle.
All political parties in Jammu are not united for Jammu's interest. They are working for their political objective. NC ruled the state for about 40 years and inspite of one state and one Chief Minister; there were different Govt. orders for Srinagar and Jammu Division with benefits to Kashmir Division, ignoring Jammu division with no reasons.
Ghulam Nabi Azad remained as a Chief Minister of JK State and was also Union Health Minister but where was the AIIMS if there was a proposal to upgrade the GMC Jammu to the level of AIIMS. BJP at the centre announced AIIMS for Jammu but the moment BJP became a ruling partner in J&K Govt; AIIMS was automatically shifted to Srinagar. Who was responsible? The answer is the crystal clear which holds BJP responsible.
Congress after Assembly Elections, hurriedly sent an unconditional letter of support to PDP from Delhi. Now how the same Mufti Mohd Sayeed can be so bad for Congress. NC also gave unconditional support to PDP for a communal Govt. from Kashmir division only.
Had these political parties sincere for Jammu AIIMS, they must have one stage which is no where. Kashmir leaders of all political parties do not plead for Jammu for any matter. Whereas Jammu leaders of these political parties try to show themselves as most sincere. Statements of Cong. president Mir and Sham Lal Sharma are different; similarly statements of Omar Abdullah and Rana are not in conformity with the Jammu interest.
PDP and BJP have different ideology but ruling only for lucrative benefits without common minimum programme even leaving the agenda of social justice which could have been common to both, that is why 27% reservation due share as per Apex Court's judgement of 1992 on Mandal report has not been implemented in J&K State, the only state where it has not been implemented. Leaders of all political parties of Jammu/Kashmir Divisions of J&K State have contradictory thoughts working only to be in power in one way or the other.
No political party is trust worthy in the state. ACC must move cautiously unless and until the thing recording AIIMS are materialized on ground, AIIMS is a distant object.
AIBCU has announced for full support to the AIIMS Coordination Committee and shall continue its full support in future also; so chairman of the C.C is appealed to go ahead with the agenda until a concrete result is achieved. What so ever, the achievement would be in future shall be the result of the struggle of the common people. |
