Jammu, Aug 7: Hundreds of students of Directorate of Distance Education (DDE) University of Jammu today staged protested under the banner of Distance Student Union (DSU) against the DDE & JU. The protest was led by DSU President Mukesh Parihar. All the students raised slogans in support of their demands and against the ‘rude’ policies of DDE & Jammu University. While addressing the students, President of the Union Mukesh Parihar said "DDE JU has stopped Political Science, Economics and M.Ed in the Deptt due to which thousands of students have been deprived to continue their higher studies in the state".He further said that majority of students have been deprived to get admission in various PG courses run by DDE as University has made it compulsory to have minimum 60% marks in Graduation to get admission in these courses. "Our protest will continue until the demands are met" Parihar added. |
