HC issues notice to CS in premature retirement of MD JKSRTC | | | Jammu, Aug 7: In the petition filed by Jagmohan Singh Tandon then MD J&KSRTC who was premature retired by the State, Justice BS Walia of J&K High Court Jammu Wing issued notice to the Chief Secretary & Ors and directed them to file response before August 17. The petitioner has submitted to court that he took over as Managing Director of the Jammu and Kashmir State Road Transport Corporation in 2010 when the income of the Corporation was Rs36.32 Crores and over the years the income on account of hard work put in by him rose to approximately Rs 100 crores each in 2013-2014 and 2014-2015 respectively, besides the corporation was able to pay of past liabilities of retirees to the tune of Rs 61 crores outstanding since 2002. Petitioner also stated that all his APRs are outstanding barring three years i.e. 2000-2001, 2005-2006 and 2007-2008 for which they were 'Very Good' and that there was no adverse material whatsoever on the basis of which the impugned order could be sustained. He also submitted that Regulation 226(2) of the Jammu and Kashmir Civil Services Regulations, 1956 (as amended upto date) is not applicable to Jammu and Kashmir State Road Transport Corporation and is applicable to Government servant.
