Jammu, Aug 7: National student union of India (NSUI) on Friday staged demonstration demanding change in criteria for admission in 3rd semester of Jammu University under graduate course outside Jammu university gate The protest was led by the Avijot Singh state general secretary NSUI and Sunny Parihar district President Jammu NSUI.The NSUI activities raised slogans against vice chancellor Jammu University (JU) Prof. R.D Sharma. Avijot demand that the carry on system in recently introduced semester system for JU's under graduate courses should on the lines engineering courses .Slamming JU authorities, he said that the newly introduced semester system had been implemented without consulting all the stakeholders. He alleged that existing criteria will add to mental agony and stress on the students having backlogs. Speaking on the occasion sunny parihar and Khalid Ali said that they will continue to protest until the criteria is changed favorably. NSUI activists Ranjodh Singh (state secretary NSUI), Ranvir Singh, Vishal Rathode, Rohit Attari, Mohit Bakshi &Chetan Verma were also present. |
