NCP observes Revolution Day | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Aug 9: State Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) and various wings of the party today observed Revolution Day under the chairmanship of Former Minister Thakur Randhir Singh NCP chief J&K state to pay homage to those who laid down their lives for freedom struggle. Singh while addressing the impressive gathering said we have been observing August 9th as Revolution Day every year to pay homage to those who laid down their lives during freedom struggle under the leadership of Mahatama Gandhi, the Father of the nation . They scarified their lives not only to liberate the country from the foreign rule but also to have a government of the people wedded to democracy, secularism and social justice but it has reached in few hands and still large population comprising farmers , labourers , unemployed youth is deprived of necessaties of life like employment and millions of children suffering from malnutrition and are employed by the industrialist. Singh said the communal forces in the country had been trying to strangle secularism whenever they have come to power. Singh said Sardar Bhagat Singh's martyrdom revolutionised the whole youth of the country and Netaji Subhash Chander Bose as one of the greatest revolutionary politician who had a full proof plan both for India's freedom and for post Independence scenario for farmers, youth, women, labour and how to rule the country. |
