Reasi, Aug 9: Army troops today reocovered arms and ammunition from Reasi district of Jammu and Kashmir.
Based on specific information, troops of Rashtriya Rifles battalion and police, during search operation, recovered a huge cache of arms and ammunition in Madan Nadi Chapri in Chasana tehsil of Reasi District today, defence spokesman said.
The troops cordoned the area and in the ensuing search operation recovered two AK-47 rifles, two AK-47 magazines, eighty rounds of ammunition AK-47, ten rounds of 9mm pistol ammunition and other war like stores, the spokesman said, adding that the recovery has thwarted a major attack. |
