JAMMU, Aug 27 : The sixth Jammu district and third Udhampur District Shooting (boys and girls) Championships held at Delhi Public School (DPS), here today twin event of Rifle and Pistol in different age groups under the guidance of technical team. In Jammu district championship, SSP Jammu, Rajiv Pandey was chief guest, who along with senior vice president of J&K Rifle Association, Kuldeep Singh Jamwal gave away the prizes. President oaf district association, Sanam Sony, general secretary, Dharmvir Singh Jamwal and treasurer of state association, Sharat Chander Singh were among others present. The competition conducted by Rajesh Virdhy and Tarun Dev Singh. The Results : BOYS: Youth Rifle: Sarfarosh Sharma, Ist. Open (Men) Rifle: Anil Sharma, Ist; Aman Singh, 2nd and Rajinder, 3rd. Youth (Boys) Pistol: Abhay Gupta, 1st ; Utkarsh Mathur, 2nd; Asad Khan and Kalhan Bhat joint 3rd. GIRLS : Open (Women) Rifle: Deepika Singh, 1st; Tanvi, 2nd and Jyothsna, 3rd. Youth (Girls) Pistol: Anubha Suryavanshi, Ist; Kavya Kochar, 2nd and Riga, 3rd. Meanwhile, the District Rifle Association Udhampur conducted one-day 3rd District Udhampur Championship at the same venue yesterday. In this competition, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board (SMVDSB), Ajit Kumar Sahu was chief guest. He encouraged the medals winners and other participants from the district He asked the young shooters to keep aim high and concentrate on physical, mental and intellectual abilities. Out of the 65 shooters, 14 were selected for the State Championship to be held from tomorrow at Gulshan Ground, here. Director Sports, SMVDSB and senior vice president of School Games Federation of India, Ashok Kumar and Principal of DPS Jammu, Ruchi Chabra as also Sharat Chander , Vineet Gupta and Prof. Prem Singh of DPS were among others present. List of Selected Players : Youth Pistol (Boys): Aditya, Saket and Sachin. Youth Rifle (Girls): Priya Sanmotra, Swati and Umang. Youth Rifle (Boys): Amish Sundaram, Parth and Maneesh.
