BJP ridiculing itself by mocking at Rahul Gandhi | | | Early Times Report jammu, Aug 27: The BJP has ridiculed itself by mocking at the visit of the Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi to Balakote as just a 'photo opportunity'. Rahul Gandhi became the first national leader of any party to visit the site and interact with the people, who had died in shelling from the Pakistan, while the Deputy Chief Minister himself visited the place three-day after the incident. MoS PMO Jitendra Singh responding about the visit of Rahul Gandhi had said that the problems in the border is the creation of the Congress. Another leader said Rahul Gandhi is just doing it as a photo opportunity. The BJP is deliberately ignoring the fact that none of its top leadership had visited the place and interacted with the affected families. It has exposed the real face of the BJP, which had claimed to be champions of the people affected by the cross-border firing and had even promised them safer accommodation but nothing has moved on this account despite the fact that the party is in power for about more than an year. The Congress is systematically building itself after the debacle in the last elections. The party is making serious efforts to regain the space and is aggressively pusrusing it especially after GA Mir was made the Pradesh Congress Committee president. Rahul Gandhi not only had struck a chord with the remote people of the Poonch but it could work for the Congress in the coming elections . "It's probably for the first time that any senior politician has ever visited. It become more significant as the person who had visited there is the potential Prime Minister and this has made him talk of the people and it has started giving sleepless thoughts to the BJP, which is now making allegations in frustration," said a senior Congress leader, wishing not to be named. |
