| 46th KVS Regional Sports Meet | | Yukta, Monika, Sonali excel in Chess | |  Early Times Report
JAMMU, Aug 27 : Yukta of KV 2 Jalandhar, Monika Devi of KV Domana and Sonali Manhas of KV Nagrota emerged winners in under-14, under-17 and under-19 age groups respectively in the 46th KVS Regional Sports Meet in Chess concluded today at KV No.1 Gandhi Nagar, here.
The KV Gandhi Nagar also hosted under-17 and under-19 Kabaddi events. In the valedictory function, Principal KV No. 1, TR Choudhary was chief guest, who gave away the medals and certificates of participation.
Speaking to the gathering, chief guest congratulated the winners of different competitions and encouraged the others to try again till they achieve goal fixed by them. He added that these games will enrich the experiences of the participants and will help develop life skills to handle the life in a positive way.
He stressed that discipline helps to rise in every field of life. He hoped that the participants of KVS Jammu Region will perform better in KVS Nationals also.
In all, 225 students and escorts from Kendriya Vidyalayas situated in J&K, parts of Himachal Pradesh and Punjab participated in this sports meet.
