KCPS join hands with Speech and Hearing Impaired in a dance performance | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Aug 27 : 'Beyond the classroom' program at KC Public School includes in its ambit an active involvement of students in numerous activities that sensitize them about the rules they can play in the lives of the under-privileged and the marginalized sections of the society. The School has initiated the process of collaborating with speech and hearing impaired children residing in JRC Home, Udheywala, in the vicinity of the School and undertaking a few constructive activities with them. After a few rehersals conducted on the premises of KCPS, the joint dance performance was presented before a large gathering of Students and teachers in a special assembly held this morning. The dance was choreographed by Manoj Kumar, a resident choreographer from Ankush Kapoor Academy for performing Arts, NCR, who is trained to communicate effectively with speech and hearing impaired people to teach them the steps of a dance through sign language. Amarendra Mishra, Principal of the School lauded the joint dance performance and appreciated the hard work done by Manoj Kumar. He urged upon the students to continue taking up many more constructive projects with children with special needs residing in their neighbourhood. |
