Aged couple assaulted over land feud, two held 8/27/2015 11:56:55 PM early Times Report Udhampur, Aug 27: In a tragic incident aged couple were assaulted by a duo of father and son late last night at Jaganoo Morh Udhampur over a land dispute. Meanwhile police after registering a case and have arrested the accused duo. The injured have been identified as Shanker Dass (70) s/o Badri Nath and his wife Ram Payari (66). According to police sources, the accused as Rattan Singh and his son Rahul Singh assaulted the aged couple and fled from the spot after committing the crime. Locals immediately shifted the injured to District Hospital (DH) Udhampur. "Meanwhile on receiving information, the police team from Police Post Roundomail rushed to spot and P/P incharge Anil Sharma launched massive hunt, police sources said. They added during nocturnal raids police arrested the accused at around 11.30 pm from the nearby forest area.
