Grand Parents Day Celebrated at the Pathways International 9/20/2015 10:50:45 PM Early Times Report Kathua , Sept 20 : The Pathways International School, Kathua Celebrated Grandparent's day, today at the School campus with big Pomp & Show. Dr. Divij Suri, Chairman, The Pathways International School was the Chief Guest on the occasion. The function was graced as Guest of Honor by Prof SP Suri & Prof. Aruna Suri (Retired HOD & Prof. University of Jammu) and . Kunal Anand, Principal, The Pathways International School. A large number of grandparents participated in the mega event organized by the School. The function stared with the lighting of the traditional ceremonial lamp by the Chief Guest & Guest of Honor. The whole mood of the program was so festive with grandparents around. The function started with a welcome song by the Educators of The Pathways International School. The kids of Primary Section presented colorful dance numbers and enthralled their grandparents. The dances were highly appreciated and thoroughly enjoyed by the grandparents. The pre-primary section was not far behind; they presented Poems on the Theme of Grandparents that brought tears in the eyes of their DADA's, DADI's, NANA's & NANI's. The grandparents were made to play a number of games like the saree draping, tie-knotting, blind folding games, guess who and many more. The grandparents looked really happy and youthful and enjoyed the program to the fullest. Prof. SP Suri in his address said that by organizing such events we are not just celebrating an event, but also indicating and making our next generation aware of the importance and merits of joint family. He appreciated the team of The Pathways International School for organizing the 'Grandparents Day' The program was hosted by . Pooja Gupta & . Shikha,the Educators of The Pathways International School. Vote of thanks was presented by Dr, Minoti Bhakri , Activity Coordinator. The program concluded with a thank you note by the grandparents. It is worthwhile mentioning here that The Pathways International School, Kathua, is the first International School in the State using ICSE IB Curriculum, where teaching is imparted through play way method. The students learn while doing hands on activities. This enhances their mental skills, behavioral skills, social skills, communication skills etc. The School provides its students various platforms for enhancement of their learning in a creative way.
