Jammu, Sept 20: As the cat is finally out of the bag in the case of Kewal krishan Sharma shrouded in controversies, the Vigilance sleuths on the job of raid and interrogation will spill more beans in coming days as the matter is encased and wrapped with more sensational details including the names of more officials involved in corrupt practices of huge transactions of money.
Sources said that with Vigilance organisation finally acting on directions of High Court cut some ice in case, the matter which despite being in circulation for over two years will catch up the pace of probe. Having succeeded in bringing to fore stunning details of huge wealth and property disproportionate to Kewal Sharma, former PRO to ex Deputy Chief Minister Tara Chand, the VOJ will reach out to last person involved in the illegal transactions of money worth crores of rupees along with Sharma, sources said.
One more employee who was employed in class four category in the Legislative Assembly and later promoted as Senior Assistant, who all through the tenure of Tara Chand as Deputy Chief Minister stayed with him without any official order is also under scanner, sources said adding that the said employee is also learnt to have amassed huge wealth in the flow of corrupt practices which continued unabatedly during Kewal Sharma's 'reign' under the 'patronage' of ex Deputy Chief Minister. Besides Kewal, there was one more person who worked as PRO of Tara Chand for both terms while he was Speaker as also when he became the Deputy Chief Minister of NC-Congress coalition government is learnt to have amassed huge assets and property without check from any quarter and now axe is likely to fall one by one on all of them. One PSO who too had penetrated into inner circle of the ex Chief Minister is also in the list of the persons which consists the names of a couple of high level officials of the rank of secretaries, officials from Housing Board, Education Department, Social Welfare Department and even from the state Police Department who played a key role in connivance with Kewal in minting money from various quarters with corrupt practices, sources further said.
The entire matter was hid under the lid and all details kept under the wraps despite sensational disclosures that erupted during the last over two years due to extreme political pressure from state level to Centre, sources said adding that it was after the interception of one of the senior politicians and ex Union Minister in the matter which in a way delayed the course of probe and inevitable raids that followed eventually two days back. The former Union Minister, sources said ensure with his active interference that no revelations should come to fore ahead of elections which could have caused harm to Congress as a party and a couple of leaders in particular.
