The department has fixed a target of selling 4.5 lakh forms across the state at the cost of Rs 300 per form. If all the forms are sold, it would be earning Rs 13 cr from the unemployed youth. Rs 300 are to be deposited in the shape of a bank draft which necessarily is to be got made from J&K Bank which is charging Rs 57 as commission charges per draft. This way, the bank would be earning a profit of Rs 2.5 cr from 4.5 lakh unemployed youth. 4.5 lakh application forms are being sold against nearly 4,000 vacant posts. So, the police department and J&K Bank are going to be benefitted hugely from this recruitment process while nearly 4.45 lakh unemployed youth, whose names would not appear in the selection list, would be losing their precious Rs 300. The application forms have been distributed to all the districts of the state. Jammu district has got 30,000 forms. These are not available with any outside agency and can only be purchased from the respective district police lines against the payment of Rs 300 worth bank draft. While the forms are on sale since September 15, the last date for their submission is October 15. Long queues of candidates could be seen in the J&K Bank branches across the state. |
