KATHUA, Oct 18 : Government Higher Secondary School (GHSS) Chadwal bagged the overall championship trophy in the District Kathua Judo Championship held under the banner of J&K Judo Association at Sports Stadium, Kathua.
Students of GHSS Chadwal dominated in all the age groups of junior categories and topped the points tally. In all, around 100 judokas representing different educational institutions of the district contested for the top honours.
In the valedictory function of the competition, general secretary of J&K Judo Association and joint secretary of the Judo Federation of India, Vikas Gupta was chief guest. Earlier, the two-day championship was declared open by manager DCC Kathua, Shamsher Singh.
The bouts were officiated by Jugal Kishore, Shakti Gupta, Sandeep Sharma, Sahil Sharma and Jai Karan.
