| National Portal of India too discriminates with Jammu | | PRC forms for Srinagar available online, Jammu missing | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Oct 18: While in the State of Jammu and Kashmir, there is a regular cry of discrimination heard at all forums among both the regions of Jammu and Kashmir, even the National Portals of Government of India contain certain such inclusions which are eye raising.
The Permanent Resident Certificate for the State of Jammu and Kashmir is one such important document that every individual in the State needs to establish his/her identity to be the bonafide subject of the State.
In this regard, the Government of India has made it quite accessible to the people to Google into the national portal domain of Government of India to download the form required to fill and submit at concerned tehsil headquarters along with the document to procure one.
The irony here reflects is that the Government of India too has loaded up the form on the net site that only pertains to Kashmir Division while Jammu is ignored.
" Securing a PRC form is the most cumbersome process as we have to run pillar to post and even grease the palms of the low rung officials in the DM office Jammu so that they can guide us how to get the form," said Bishambar Dass, 72, a retired Government official at Chhani Himmat. Bishambar Dass was trying a State subject for his grandson and had his PRC as well as his son's PRC with him to establish the facts for his grandson.
He added that even seeking guidance on what documents to attach and where to submit the form too needs repeated humble requests that too are seldom attended.

"The form available on the site is addressed to The Tehsildar, Srinagar,South/North. I downloaded it on the pretext that it would be serving both the regions. But when I submitted it to the concerned officer in Jammu, he retorted back angrily to have wasted his time by bringing in Srinagar form filled for Jammu PRC," said another tech savvy private job doer who stood in urgent need for his State subject to fill a Government form for job in Jammu and Kashmir.
Meanwhile Divisional Commissioner Jammu, Pawan Kotwal's phone remained out of reach as no contact could be established with him to get his take on it
Though the form available on the net sis 'superscripted' with The Tehsildar, Srinagar,South/North, it also contains certain inclusions into it that purely establishes the national portal's PRC form meant for Srinagr only.
At line no 5, it demands : That I am permanent Ration holder of Tehsil Srinagar. This is also desirable on the affidavit attached thereof on the net form and at line 5.

The thorough surfing of the internet failed to substantiate any claim that there could be some other Jammu site from where the PRC form be downloaded for Jammu. A pure national discrimination. |
