Jammu, Oct 18 : Amarjeet Singh Gill, Assistant Commissioner, Kendriya Vidyalaya Santhana (KVS) along with Deputy Commissioner, KVS State of BS& G introduced six courses of Scouting & Guiding being conducted by Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, Jammu Region, in Jammu at Kendriya Vidyalaya Number 1,and Air Force Station, Pathankot. According to press release, the teachers of Kendriya Vidyalayas of KVS, Jammu Region, spread over the states of J&K, parts of Punjab and Himachal Pardesh will be given training of Scout Masters, Guide Captains, Cub Masters and Flock Leaders during these courses of the duration of seven days each. A total of161teachers are participating in these courses. . NirmalKaurGill was the Guest of Honour, KusamMalhotra, District Chief Commissioner (Guide), South and Jang S. Verman, Ex- Assistant State Organizing Commissioner (Scout), KVS State of BS&G were the Special Guests on this occasion. An inaugural ceremony was conducted on this occasion. The young children presented cultural items. J D Guru, venue Principal welcomed the Chief Guest and other guests. A report of the camp was read out by Anju Jamwal. In his address, A S Gill said that the trainings in scouting & guiding gives emphasis on values and life skills. He also quoted his personal experiences in trainings and journey in the field of BS&G. Later he interacted with the participants. |
