| Dr Balbir stresses upon use of Statin medicine | | |  Early Times Report
Jammu, Oct 18 : Highlighting the recent developments on Statins medicine, Dr Balbir Singh Chairman (Division of Electrophysiology) Medanta Heart Institute stressed upon use of Statin medicine - panacea in helping to reduce LDL cholesterol from body and Challenges faced in treatment of increasing LDL cholesterol leads to heart diseases.
He also added that turmoil in Kashmir since '90s has taken its toll and in recent past Flood in Kashmir Valley had increased the stress level of common man in both Kashmir & Jammu regions of state. He said this while addressing the gathering of medicos from different specialties present at the Continuous Medicine Education (CME) programme on the topic '20 years of use of Statins- where we stand' held at Hotel Fortune last night.
The proceedings of technical session of CME were chaired jointly by Dr Mohan Lal & Dr CD Gupta Former Prof & Head Deptt of Cardiology Govt Medical College (GMC) Jammu as chairperson while Dr Sushil Sharma Prof & Head Deptt of Cardiology ,GMC Jammu and Dr Gurjit Singh Former Head & Director JK Medicity attended the occasion as guest of Honour. |
