Kishtwar, Oct 18 : Social Welfare Department under the supervision of District Social Welfare Officer (DSWO) Kishtwar today organized an awareness camp at Sarthal to aware the people about newly launched "Aasra" scheme introduced by Government of India.
The camp was attended by Sarpanchs, Panchs, general public, students, pension beneficiaries, Manager J&K bank Sarthal and employees of social welfare Department.
Speaking on the occasion, DSWO Kishtwar Phulail Singh aware the participants regarding eligibility and registration under newly launched social security scheme "Aasra", beside highlighted the importance and benefits of the insurance scheme and appealed the general public to avail the benefit of the scheme.
He said that it is an opportunity to the poor BPL families 'widows and destitute of the area for getting the security for their future. Under this newly launched scheme "Aasra " registered persons will get an insurance cover of Rs 2 lakh for which the annual premium will be paid by the Government through Social Welfare Department. |
