LMD books Vishal Mega Mart at Udhampur 10/18/2015 10:53:31 PM UDHAMPUR, Oct 18: A team of Legal Metrology Department headed by Assistant Controller Jaideep Singh Sambyal today conducted extensive checking at Air Plaza Retail Holdings Pvt Ltd with the brand name VISHAL Mega Mart at M.H road Udhampur. In order to safeguard the interest of consumers who are lured by the attractive offers at big Marts especially during festive season, a manufacturer of LPG Stove was booked for unfair trade practice as LPG Stoves of specifications of 3 burner, 2 burner and 1 burner are of inferior Metal as the actual weight verified was almost half of the weight declared on the package of three type of articles of that manufacturer.All the deceptive packages were seized and seizure memo issued to the management of the company by the concerned Inspector through Airplaza to show cause as to why legal proceedings may not be initiated for the omissions.
