JKSABDPSP chairman shows anguish over new appointments 10/18/2015 10:54:14 PM Early Times Report Rajouri, Oct 18: Vice Chairman of J&K State Advisory Board for the Development of Pahari Speaking People (JKSABDPSP) Kuldeep Raj Gupta has resented the nomination of non-Pahari members in the board for which the list was released by the State Government vide its order No 1367-GAD/2015 dt 14/10/15. Vide State Government order No 1090-GAD/2015 dt 12/8 15 Kuldeep Raj Gupta, a senior BJP leader from Rajouri district was appointed as Vice Chairman of JKABDPSP with status of Minister of State and within two months he has been ignored. As claimed by Gupta he was ignored in finalizing the list of newly appointed members for the board. Gupta said that he expressed his resentment with the People Democratic Party (PDP) President, Mehbooba Mufti and demanded removal of the names of non-Paharis. According to Gupta "It is shocking that some non-Pahri people were nominated for the JKSABDPSP without consultation. I was asked to submit 40 names for the nominations but finally the names of 67 members were cleared" said Kuldeep Raj Gupta. Among others who have also resented the inclusion of non-Pahris in the list include Naeem Ganai, senior state vice president of Muslim Rashtriya Manch (BJP wing) , Mohd Sharief and Mohd Ashraf , senior BJP leaders .They have appealed to the Vice Chairman to scrap the list otherwise they along with their supporters shall quite the party. Iqbal Shawl , a senior Pahari leader from Thanamandi (Rajouri) said, "Pahari Community of the State which has been struggling for Schedule Tribe (ST) Status since long has once again deceived and ditched by its leaders". "The newly constituted Pahari Development Board has become a political forum instead becoming platform for struggling for the causes of the Pahari Speaking Community" said Shawl. Shahbaz Khan, Chief Executive, J&K Pahari People Movement (JKPPM) and Abdul Qadir Khan, Chairman, Pahari Youth Front were also criticized the appointment of non paharis in the board .   Share This News with Your Friends on Social Network     Comment on this Story
