'Mehbooba to head Party, Govt'
10/23/2015 12:20:07 AM
Early Times Report

Srinagar, Oct 22: The CM has made it clear to the party leaders that Mehbooba Mufti will continue to lead the party and possibly the Government also. He had also made it clear that no one will be allowed to challenge her authority.
According to the sources, the CM has made it clear to the party leaders that Mehooba Mufti is not only the party president but she is also poised to take over the Government.
"He has made it clear to leaders that any kind of dissent will not be tolerated. And also that people have reposed faith in the policies and programmes and leadership of Mufti Sayeed and Mehbooba Mufti and not to any other individual and it should be clear to all the leaders," said the senior party leader.
Mufti Sayeed has issued this stern message and also a sort of warning after two senior PDP leaders abstained from a meeting of legislators called by Mehbooba yesterday.
Sources said the CM in this warning has made it clear to these leaders that party has not been built by few individuals but collectively by trusted leaders.
"It has made things clear to the sulking leaders. And despite their absence the meeting called by the Mehbooba Mufti was attended by all the leaders and CM made it a point to say that alliance with the BJP was a conscious decision and it will last full term," said the source.
The CM made the comment about forming an alliance with the BJP and lasting its full term after a senior PDP leader had in a veiled attack at the party, read Mehbooba and CM, had said that it has allowed the RSS to get foothold in the valley.
The CM by announcing that party should work hard to make the rally of PM Modi in the Srinagar a success has made it clear that dissenting or rather opportunistic voices don't really matter for him and with his this statement he has sealed any further argument on this subject.
