PSC selects alleged rape accused, `cheat' as lecturer Surgery 10/23/2015 12:21:24 AM Early Times Report Jammu, Oct 22: Terminated from service by Government, a former probationer surgeon Dr Javid Iqbal has been selected as lecturer surgery by the Public Service Commission (PSC). According to notification number 16-PSC (DR-S) of 2015, dated October 20, 2015, Javid Iqbal has been selected as lecturer. Positioned number one in the selection list of lecturer Surgery, GMC Jammu, Health and Medical Education Department, the doctor was terminated from his service in September 2013. Dr Javid Iqbal, had cheated a Sikh girl Gurpreet, who later converted to Islam (Smaira) and married him, but later she filed cases against Dr Javid. Health and Medical Education department had issued order of termination of probation and discharge from services of Dr. Javid Iqbal, Consultant Surgeon (under probation) under Government order number 500 HME of 2013. Dr Iqbal was appointed as consultant surgeon (under Probation) vide Government order number 290-HME of 2011 on June 7, 2011. "Whereas, an FIR No.19/2011 u/s 498-A/109/RPC dated 06.08.2011 was registered against him at Police Station Women Cell, Jammu. The official was placed under suspension vide Director, Health Services Jammu under order NO.DSHJ/ES-3/5766/1274 dated 24.08.2011 and the official remained in police/Judicial custody for 42 days w-e-f 13-09-2011 to 24-08- 2011", the order read. "The High Court quashed this FIR on 28.12.2011 vide judgment dated 28.12.2011 pursuant to which the official came to be re-instated vide Government Order No: 83-HME of 2012 dated 02.02.2012. Another FIR came to be registered against the official vide No.226/2012 u/s 376, 406,420/379 and 120-B RPC dated 09.05.2012 at Police Station Rajouri and he was again placed under suspension vide Director Health Services, Jammu Order No. DSHJ/607-10 dated 16.5.2012", the order further read.
