Navratra festival concludes at Lakshmi Narayan Temple 10/23/2015 12:20:17 AM Early Times Report Jammu, Oct 22: The first Navratra Festival hosted by Shri Lakshmi Narayan Temple Management Trust, Gandhi Nagar concluded today amid religious fervor and zeal. Trust took this initiative to create appropriate religious environment and strengthen the moral values in the society besides promoting the cultural heritage of Dogras. The Dandiya dance by hundreds of devotees- children, girls, men and women besides renowned artists many of them dressed in traditional costumes, portrayed a sense of togetherness in the backdrop of Goddess Durga temple which was a grand finale of 9- night festivity. The concluding night celebration was marked by Kan-sakhian, a dying Jammu tradition. A group of small girls dressed as Goddesses blessed the devotees who religiously offer respect as they do to the deity.
