UTF hails rationalization, amalgamation in Education Deptt | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT BHADERWAH, Nov 15: United Teachers' Federation (UTF) unit Bhaderwah has hailed the process of rationalization and amalgamation in education department started by the government. In a meeting held here today under the chairmanship of its president Arif Rana, the teachers fraternity discussed the new steps taken by the department and problems being faced by the teachers. Speaking on the occasion, Rana hailed the decision taken by the Education Minister regarding rationalization and its implementation and consolidation instead of expansion to ensure quality education. He also hailed Education Minister, Naeem Akhtar for the bold steps taken by closing the defunct schools and transferring the blue eyed teachers to the schools having dearth of teachers. Rana expressed satisfaction and said that a long pending demand of the forum has been fulfilled. He said that this part of the bigger rationalization process initiated by the Minister should be carried forward to clear the existing chaos in the department. He said that action on some defunct schools of Doda district is just a tip of an iceberg and the Minister is requested to do more about the deployed as well as attached Masters and Teachers who have still not joined their respective schools despite director's orders. |
