PHQ deputes 94 policemen for KU security | Jammu yet again discriminated | | Early Times Report
Srinagar, Nov 15: In yet another incident of discrimination with Jammu province, the police headquarter issued an order to deploy 94 policemen for security purpose in Kashmir University (KU). About 115 policemen were already deployed for the purpose but nothing has been done for the security of Jammu University. On the other hand security of the Jammu University (JU) is in the hands of a few people which is not sufficient and due to this negligence students and staff of Jammu University faces problems created by outsiders. According to the sources police headquarter transferred 94 policemen from armed division to KU on two year deputation basis which included one inspector, who is in charge, three Sub-inspectors, one Asst Sub Inspector, Nine Hawaldars and others ranks. These officers were transferred from various units to KU and 115 police personnel who were already deployed in KU were relieved from KU and directed to join their respective units with immediate effects. According to the sources proper security for the students of JU was demanded from many years but nothing has been done to solve this problem and on the other hand police headquarter deputed the police personnel in KU with the strength which is equivalent to 3 to 4 Thanas. |
