Party forced to cancel training workshops | Infighting in BJP takes ugly turn | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Nov 15: The much publicised training programmes started by the "disciplined" BJP to train its party workers at 'mandal' level have been stopped due to infighting between two leaders of the party. Credible sources in the BJP said the training programmes have been turned into an ego clash between two senior leaders. One of the leaders, who has been given assignment of all training workshops, was not getting support from the other leader who is also an organisation man. "The organisation man has personal grudge against the other leader who is looking after training workshops. So he availed every opportunity to undermine his authority," said sources. A senior BJP leader who does not want to be quoted, said the infighting in the party has taken an ugly turn because one of the leaders, who has been given assignment to maintain discipline in the party, has himself indulged in indiscipline. "Instead of maintaining discipline in the party this leader is more concerned about creating his own group within BJP to further tighten his grip in the party," said sources. "This over-ambitious leader is also dreaming to become state president of the BJP. So he is trying to give an impression that no leader in the party is in a position to get the post of state president," they added. |
