Manhas alleges Govt failed to provide medical facilities | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT BHADERWAH, NOV 15: Senior Congress leader and social activist, Sanjay Manhas alleged that state coalition has drastically failing to provide proper medical facilities in the remote areas of Jammu region. He expressed concern over the problems being faced by the people of Doda district in general and Gandoh Tehsil in particular. He said the Sub District Hospital (SDH) Gandoh is facing dearth of staff, necessary infrastructure and equipment's. He said that presently 16 posts of gazetted medical officers are lying vacant as the BMO of the Hospital is already attached to Director's office. He pointed out that the aforesaid SHD is not equipped adequately to tackle with emergent situations and in case of emergency people are forced to shift patients to District Hospital Doda. Prior to elections, the candidates of ruling political parties assured all facilities but soon after getting the mandate they simply vanished from the scene leaving people to lurch for basic amenities. He appealed to the Government for providing better medical facilities in remote areas. |
