`NC was a brainchild of Congress' | | | Early Times Report
Srinagar, Nov 15: The National Conference provincial president, Nasir Aslam Wani today said that the internal affairs of the PDP were managed by the BJP. He further said that the RSS framed the PDP policy from Nagpur. While political circles have rejected the allegations as ridiculous, Nasir has been told to go through NC history. According to them, the internal affairs and policy of the national Conference was framed by the Congress from the very beginning. Historians believe that the National Conference was a brainchild of the Indian National Congress. It came into being in 1938 at the behest of Jawahar Lal Nehru. "Since then, all the important decisions taken by the NC were influenced by the Congress," they said. Nothing changed under Dr Farooq's leadership. Rajiv Gandhi influenced his thinking in mid 80s when Indira Gandhi dethroned him. In 1986 the NC-Congress alliance came into being. Later Farooq became a part of RSS influenced and BJP led NDA government. And, Congress came to exercise its influence yet again. |
