Dorjay for sensitize people about benefits of Cooperative movement | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Nov 15 : Underlining need for generating mass awareness about the social and economic benefits of Cooperative Movement, the Minister for Cooperative, Chering Dorjay has said that strengthening and expanding cooperative activities will play a good role in boosting the rural economy. He said "Make in India" government's flagship campaign is aimed to promote domestic manufacturing industry to attract foreign investors to invest into the Indian economy. This was stated by the minister while speaking at a function organized by Cooperative Public Schools at Deeli branch in connection with celebration of 62nd Cooperative Week. The Secretary Cooperatives Hilal Ahmad Parray and Registrar Cooperatives Peerzada Mushtaq Ahmed were the guest of honour. The minister appreciated the students for their hard work and efforts . He said cooperative Movement launched in the country has played essential role in transformation of the life of rural populace. He asked participants to work for its promotion for the benefit of common people. Administrator, Cooperative Public Schools, Mukesh Thapa presented welcome address. He highlighted the working and achievements and future programmes of these schools. The Minister also hoisted the National and Cooperative flag on the occasion. Among others, Additional Registrar Cooperatives, Anjana Tickoo, Joint Registrars, Inderjeet Bhagat, R. K. Thapa and Trishla Kundal, Deputy Registrars, Naresh Sharma, Ranjeet Kotwal, Mukesh Thapa and Viqar Giri, State Marketing Manager IFFCO, Shakti Singh and parents of the students were present on the occasion. Models displaying "Make in India" and debate competition on the topic 'Legislations for Cooperatives' were also held on the occasion. |
